The Centraal Beheer “Hypnotist” spot won a coveted Silver Lion award at the Cannes commercial competition.
During pre-production, director Rene Eller asked Michael Owen to find specific houses designed in the early 1950’s by the architect Albert Fry to use as a location for the spot. The surviving buildings were no longer suitable.
Through contacts at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, Owen located a Richard Neutra house in Lone Pine, CA. The classic modern architecture set in a stunning location was immediately selected as the location for the shoot.
