Very engaging. The virtual reality program made you feel like you were right there when he made the paintings. There's no greater way to connect with the artist unless you visited him in the studio when he made them.

KAGAMI, at The Shed in NYC is a beautiful example of what a Magic Leap experience can be. Produced by Tin Drum, it’s an hour-long piano concert recorded live in 2020, so it could be performed by Ryuichi Sakamoto’s hologram in 2023 and beyond. Kagami is the Japanese word for "mirror."

The city’s most famous attraction is the masterpiece by Flemish artist Jan Van Eyck, the Ghent Altarpiece or The Adoration of the Mystic Lamb, a large and complex polyptych full of symbols and an intriguing story, completed in 1432. You can now discover it thanks to holograms, in an amazing journey back in time through the story of the cathedral, the painting, and the great Jan Van Eyck.

NYCMER 2022 Conference

Robin White Owen joined Jamie Lawyer, Chief Experience Officer at The Rubin Museum of Art for a presentation on Designing for Emotional and Mental Wellbeing, using the Mandala Lab as a case study. The theme of this year's NYCMER conference was Build > Bridge > Belong, with the keynote speaker Dionne Custer Edwards, Director of Learning & Public Practice at the Wexner Center for the Arts.

Augmented World Expo - AWE 2022 June 1-3

Robin White Owen presented on the panel Museums and the Metaverse, with Paige Dansinger, James Taylor and Wilson Tang. The conference brought XR professionals from all over the world to Santa Clara, CA for an in-person experience and included the Augmented World Expo, the Auggie Awards and the AWE Playground with demonstrations galore.
